Getting Started with Stashed

Welcome to Stashed! This guide will help you create an account and get started with managing your links.

Creating Your Account
#

Step 1: Visit Stashed
#

Go to stashed.in in your web browser.

Step 2: Sign Up
#

Click the Sign Up or Log In button (usually in the top-right corner).

Step 3: Choose Authentication Method
#

You can sign up using:

  • Google OAuth — Quick sign-in with your Google account (recommended)
  • Email/Password — Traditional email registration

Step 4: Complete Your Profile
#

After signing in, you’ll be prompted to:

  1. Choose a username (unique identifier for your profile)
  2. Add your full name (optional, displayed publicly)
  3. Upload an avatar (optional, helps others recognize you)

Understanding the Interface

Navigation Bar#

  • Home — Browse public stashes and discover content
  • My Stashes — Access all your created stashes
  • Create Stash — Button to create a new stash
  • Profile — Access your profile settings and account options

Dashboard

Your personal dashboard shows:

  • Stashes you’ve created
  • Recently viewed stashes
  • Quick actions for creating new content

Account Settings

Accessing Settings
#

Click your profile avatar in the navigation bar and select Settings or Profile.

What You Can Configure

  • Username — Your unique identifier (may be limited to one change)
  • Display Name — How your name appears publicly
  • Avatar — Profile picture (upload from your device)
  • Bio — Short description about yourself
  • Banner — Cover image for your profile page

API Tokens (Advanced)
#

For developers, you can generate API tokens to interact with Stashed programmatically. Keep these tokens secure and never share them publicly.


Security Best Practices

  1. Use Strong Authentication — If using email, choose a strong password
  2. Keep Email Updated — Ensure your email is current for account recovery
  3. Review Connected Accounts — Check which OAuth providers are linked
  4. Log Out on Shared Devices — Always log out when using public computers
